Discover Korea Your Way (DKYW) 2018

And here we introduce Romantic Gangneung Tour itinerary!

Gyeongpo Beach

Located 1km away from Gyeongpodae, Gyeongpo Beach is a sand bank formed between Gyeongpo Lake and the ocean. This beautiful beach extends to a length of 6 km and is covered with fine sand. It is a very well-known tourist attraction within Korea: a flawless combination of nature and cultural relics.

Gangneung Jungang Market

Located in the center of Gangneung City, Jungang Market is the main market for locals that sells fresh seafood and delicious market foods such as sweet & sour fried chicken and mozzarella pancakes.

Aranabi

As “Ara” means “ocean” and “nabi” means “butterfly” in Korean, Aranabi conveys an image of butterflies flying over the ocean. Aranabi Zipline offers a zipline consisting of a pulley suspended on a cable that is 12m in height. It was the first zipline in Korea that overlooks the beautiful ocean.

Jumunjin Breakwater

Picture

Jumunjin Breakwater was built to protect the coastline from the effects of erosion and longshore drift. It became a popular attraction after its first appearance in the television drama “Guardian (2016)” as many visitors look forward to taking photos of a scene reanactment from the drama.

Sodol Adeul Bawi Park

It is seaside park where oddly shaped rocks are lined up along the shore. “Adeul bawi” translates to “son rock” and there is a myth that an old couple who couldn’t have child managed to have a son after praying on the rocks for 100 days.
